The Province of Inhambane (one of ten provinces) is governed by the city of Inhambane (pronounced "In-yam-baan"), actually more like a town which is extremely picturesque and interesting. This area probably offers the best scuba diving in the whole of Mozambique and has always been hugely popular with tourists and scuba divers. The incredible marine diversity offers superb diving. Local produce of cashew nuts, mandioca, maize, mangos, peanuts, coconuts and tangerines together with the abundances of fresh fish and prawns offers many culinary delights.
